Outreach
How We Give Back
A key part of the FIRST mission is to inspire young people to become science and technology leaders. Teams are encouraged to share their experience and enthusiasm with others to help advance this mission.
Our team believes outreach is an important part of spreading the message of FIRST. We strive to help our community by volunteering and mentoring with other teams. Events we have volunteered at include our annual week-long Robotics summer camp for middle schoolers, showing our robots at The Tech Interactive, volunteering at FLL and FRC events, representing FRC at the Semiconductor Industry Awards dinner, volunteering at Second Harvest, and the San Mateo County Fair Robo Zone.
Outside of team activities, students individually donate their time to the community by volunteering at STEM or robotics-related events. In the past year, team members have volunteered as tutors at various middle schools, exhibit specialists at the Tech Museum of Innovation, and leaders at math and science camps.
Presentation Invasion seeks to give back to the community while sharing technical expertise to inspire others through the school's motto “Not words, but deeds.” We are always looking for more opportunities to help others.
